The BA role is changing fast — especially with AI reshaping tools, expectations, and ways of working. So what does “job-ready” even mean for business analysts now?
In this talk, Jocelyn Cranefield shares how Victoria University of Wellington’s Master of Professional Business Analysis is being designed — and continually adjusted — in response to industry, government, and a shifting job market. She’ll touch on curriculum choices, real-world client projects, and how assessment and learning approaches are evolving as BA roles change.
This isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about learning, experimenting, and staying responsive — and the session is very much an open conversation. Feedback from practicing BAs on what’s working, what’s missing, and what education should focus on next is actively welcome.
