How the IIBA NZ Chapter board elections work
The election normally follows the process of
- Announcement of upcoming election - listing of board roles up for election
- Interest - Prospective nominees register there interest in the roels
- Nominate - Prospective nominees confirm thier commitment to run for the board position
- Vote - Voting commences for the Board Position Term
- Announce – Election results are tallyed and announced to the members
You must be a member of the IIBA to be nominated or to nominate yourself for the board position.
Officers are normally elected at the Annual General Meeting each year and serve from 1 April to 31 March the following year.
The officers will serve two-year terms of office staggered so that approximately half of the officer(s) are elected each year to provide continuity

A 3 - 5 months handover period allows the incoming elected chapter board members time for the awareness, desire, knowledge, ability and reinforcement of the position and duties they have committed to, including but not limited to NZ Chapter By-Laws, the Strategy and Operational plan.
